Tim Navis is a Los Angeles based photographer who accidentally fell into photography. Originally a painter, he purchased a camera to photograph his paintings. After a few months of photographing paintings and other random things, he began shooting friends. Long story short, Tim has carved a niche for himself and continues to grow and learn as an artist and professional photographer.

Gabriel Jeffrey is a photography from Los Angeles. I love the colors in this series he did of pictures from Burning Man in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada. The first picture is so striking. It looks like a semi-truck is falling from the sky, so surreal.

I had a link for Yuki’s blog on my sticky notes and I’m glad I noticed it again. My photography teacher last year thought that pictures of flowers were boring and impersonal. I strongly disagreed. I guess I’m on a poster kick because I’m posting about Noa Emberson’s Visual Mixtape series. He has taken 25 of his favorite albums and created stunning posters with great colors with the help of photos from a series he shot called Reaching For Imperfection. I love how these are quiet, yet exciting and rich with detail. See the whole series here and check out the original photographs as well.
