“Make It” by The Lost Crew

The Lost Crew is a great indie pop band from Sweden that sounds like a lot of great bands but in a great original way. I’m hearing echos of Interpol and Maps and Atlases and some 80s influences but I can’t place it. Definitely check these guys out. Listen to more songs on their Myspace page. And can you believe these guys aren’t signed?

#new wave  #interpol  #80s  #indie pop  #maps and atlases

In my freshmen year I heard a couple tracks from this odd math-rock band called Maps and Atlases and surprisingly really liked it. After listening to Foals debut album I thought I was really not into that sound at all but there’s something different going on here. The music is intricately made, however, it still holds a lot of melody and pop musicianship.

So anyway, they have a new album coming out very shortly… June 29th in fact! If this track is any indication of the rest of the album it’ll be a bit poppier than their previous music. I guess more like their song “Artichokes” which was the song that hooked me. Excited to see where this band goes! Also, they’re touring with Cults so it should be a fun show.

* The song ends at 3:10 but the video keeps going. Don’t ask me I didn’t make it.
