This is Matthew Brandt’s super interesting experiment, Lakes and Resevoirs, where he takes color photographs and soaks them in the specific lake or reservoir water that they represent. I love the wild colors and distortions that came out. It reminds me of how my freshman year roommate used to microwave and freeze his Polaroids. Really interesting stuff. See more here.
